Program ObjectiveFirst line supervisors are critical to the productivity and morale of any organization because they monitor and supervise the activities of ground level teams. Unfortunately they are given this responsibility as a promotion but rarely equipped with the skills required for the job. As a result, most supervisors learn the job as they grow either by trial and error or by observing their own bosses. Hence if the role models are good the person will learn good practices but if the role models themselves are using bad practices then the same get transferred on to the new supervisors, thus creating a chain effect of poor supervision. This program covers basic Supervisory Skills to ensure that this negative chain effect does not take place. Participants will gain an understanding of their job requirements as well as be equipped with practical techniques to obtain positive results from their staff. Who Should Attend?Enabling staff, on a day-to-day basis, to become more productive and effective in their jobs, is the focus of this workshop. Effective Supervisory Skills is, therefore, for people who are required to supervise teams or individuals, as part of their job. People who are soon to be promoted to supervisory positions will also benefit from this program. Date : March 26th, 2008 Program Contents
